Chicago Gastro is currently recruiting for an Outpatient Gastroenterology NP to join the team.

Seeking a licensed physician assistant (NP) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical care. The NP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify strong vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of associated health care systems

The role requires practice rounding weekdays and a possible few weekends throughout the year, The current PAs and attendings will be available to support the new NP in their role; offering mentorship and support at all times. NP are expected to function in an outpatient clinical role but also support the inpatient side of care.

Job Qualifications NP Applicant Requirements: 1. Current State of Illinois NP license required. 2: Degree from an accredited NP Program 3. BLS certification required.

Skills/Abilities:

1. Demonstrates competency in all areas of NP practice including: medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, patient care, professionalism, practice based learning and improvement, and systems based practice.
2. Skill in preparing and maintaining electronic and paper medical records
3. Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in area of expertise.
4. Strong work ethic, interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with collaborating physician, department, and other members of the healthcare team in an effective and comprehensive manner.
6. Bilingual in Spanish/English
