Richard Gomez, a Dallas native, is a current third year medical student at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Prior to beginning medical school, he completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, where he majored in biology. After college, he worked for six years in different industries in Los Angeles. These included working in data and consulting for a health technology startup and assisting in cancer trials at Cedars-Sinai hospital. He is a proud member of the MOLA medical student committee and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. He plans on training in psychiatry, in an effort to address critical mental health issues in the US.
