This is not a new topic! The proportion of Latino physicians — approximately 6 percent — has dropped dramatically. In 1980, there were 135 Latino doctors for every 100,000 Latinos. The Latino physician shortage has worsened over the past 30 years. Organizations like MOLA and others HISPANOCARE has tried to address and assist. The supply of physicians in the United States may not be sufficient to keep pace with the increasing demand for health services, especially Hispanics!
