We are thrilled to announce a new role and a new leader within MOLA’s structure. Jasmine Vergara is joining us as MOLA Academic Pathways Manager. Jasmine will be managing and co-leading our programs reporting to our Executive Committee and our Vice President Jonathan Moreira.
“Hello, My name is Jasmine Vergara and I am a recent MPH graduate from the University of Chicago. Before that, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from DePaul University. I have been living in Chicago since 2018, but I grew up in the suburb of Elgin. My parents are immigrants from Mexico, making me a first-generation graduate! In the last few years, I have had experience in various areas of public health, such as health education, data and evaluation, research, and community outreach. I love the healthcare field and have a passion for social justice and health equity, making public health the perfect career area for me. I am so excited to begin this new journey and to make a difference with MOLA.”
