José Alberto Figueroa
Hello everyone! My name is José Alberto Figueroa. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I lived for the first twelve years of my life. Recently, I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in Anthropology with a focus in Global Health and The Environment. In the medical sector, I am very interested in finding community-based and community-engaged practices to address healthcare disparities that exist in under-represented and under-resourced communities, particularly the Latinx community in the United States. I am grateful for this incredible opportunity to meet and work with inspiring individuals that share the same set of values and missions as I do. I cannot wait to support MOLA in any way it needs me to, and I hope to gain personal growth throughout this unique opportunity!
