Pritzker Black and Latina Women in Medicine Conference

On behalf of the Pritzker chapter of the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) and Student National Medical Association (SNMA), it is with great enthusiasm that we extend this formal invitation to you and your constituents to attend the 2019 Annual Black and Latina Women in Medicine Conference. Our theme for the conference will be, “The Power of We”, and it will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2019 11 AM – 4 PM at The University of Chicago, Biological Sciences Learning Center, 924 E 57th St, Chicago, IL 60637.

We hope this conference will serve to:

  1. Empower and support Black and Latina medical students by connecting them with potential mentors and local resources.
  2. Inform Black and Latina medical students on how to best advocate for women of color around issues of violence against women, navigating the healthcare system without legal documentation, and women’s health.
  3. Provide Black and Latina medical students with a tool set on how to prioritize and improve their wellness.

The day includes lunch with physicians, a panel on managing wellness, and several workshops. This is a great opportunity to network and learn. Conference admission is free of charge and we very much hope that you are interested to participate. For registration to the conference, please fill in and submit the online form at your earliest convenience. We would be very grateful to have you accept this invitation as a 2019 Black and Latina Women in Medicine Conference attendee. Please let us know if you have any questions.
