HEAL offers FREE virtual clinical shadowing every Wednesday at 7 PM CST, with Clinical Shadowing 101 sessions following a case-based model similar to the ones employed by medical schools. Each week, participants watch videos of real patients and learn from medical personnel as they present a variety of cases. If something comes up and you cannot attend the session live, recordings of each session are posted within two weeks. In addition to the free Clinical Shadowing 101 course, HEAL also offers seminar courses that allow pre-health students to learn more about different health disciplines. Students who attend shadowing sessions and participate in the seminar courses are issued a Certificate of Completion. This can be used for applications to medical school, physician assistant school, nursing school, or other health professions programs.
