The Research Specialist will assist with community Bystander CPR (BCPR) interventions, research data collection, and analysis to develop community interventions that address cardiac arrest health disparities and improve out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survival.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties include but not limited to assisting with developing, executing and managing the Illinois Heart Rescue Project. The incumbent will perform surveys, interview, and observations to collect research data. Will also assist with study protocols and grant reporting.

30% travel within the Chicagoland area and quarterly travel to Central and Southern Illinois.

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Master’s degree in social science preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
  • Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
  • 30% travel within Chicagoland and quarterly travel to Central and Southern Illinois.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EMT-B preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Master’s degree in social science preferred.
