Clinical Opportunities for International Medical Graduates (IMGs)
The International Health Graduates (IHG) Committee of the Medical Organization for Latino Advancement (MOLA), in collaboration with Dr. Hozman’s Outpatient Clinics, is pleased to offer the following clinical and professional development opportunities for international medical graduates (IMGs) seeking U.S. clinical experience and preparation for residency.
1. Paid Medical Subintern Position
Part-Time or Full-Time | Salaried Position
This is a clinical job opportunity for IMGs with valid U.S. work authorization (U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or individuals with an Employment Authorization Document). Selected applicants will undergo a competitive selection process, including application review, interviews, and a hands-on evaluation prior to receiving a formal offer.
Position Benefits:

- Flexible schedule to accommodate USMLE preparation and residency interviews

Eligibility Requirements:
- Commitment of 6 months to 1 year
- IMG with prior externship or hands-on U.S. clinical experience
- Valid U.S. work authorization (U.S. Citizen, Green Card, or EAD)
- At least 1–2 U.S. clinical experiences with EMR access listed on CV
- USMLE Step 1 completed or scheduled within 6 months
2. Ready for Residency Rotation
Six-Week Rotation | Tuition: $1000 | Offered March–September
This structured rotation is designed for IMGs preparing for the U.S. residency application process, especially those with interest in internal medicine or rheumatology.
Rotation Features:
- Hands-on clinical experience with EMR access
- One-on-one instruction in clinical documentation and musculoskeletal exams
- Step 1/Step 2 CK content review focused on autoimmune conditions and treatments
- Training in efficient clinical rounding and workflow
- Personalized residency preparation support, including:
- ERAS CV and personal statement review
- Mock interview sessions
- Post-interview etiquette and communication coaching
- ERAS CV and personal statement review
- Peer mentorship via a dedicated WhatsApp group

3. Chicago MOLA x Dr. Hozman Collaboration
Eight-Week Full-Time Rotation | September–March | Tuition-Free | Limited to 6 Participants
This rotation offers a unique, tuition-free opportunity for MOLA IHG members to complete a full-time clinical rotation across two outpatient sites under the mentorship of Dr. Hozman’s team.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Active MOLA IHG membership (verification required)
- Passing score on USMLE Step 1
- Full-time availability for 8 weeks
- Submission of CV and letter of interest
- Completion of an interview to assess interest and alignment with the goals of the program
