As a caregiver to a mother who suffers from Young Onset Alzheimer’s, Perla Castro has experienced firsthand the challenge and anguish of finding providers and resources culturally tailored for her Latino family and has worked diligently in bringing resources and attention to her community. 

Continuing her mission to provide more equity for the Hispanic community, Ms. Castro is thrilled to seek the position of Board Member for MOLA this upcoming term. Ms. Castro is the owner of a Project Management consulting firm.  She has collaborated with a diverse range of institutions such as the Interamerican Development Bank, United Airlines amongst others fortune 500 companies, as well as not for profit institutions such as NYAP, Rincon Family Services, Centro San Bonifacio and just recently for the executive branch of the government of Guatemala.  

With an extensive and geographically diverse breadth of experience in strategy execution across governmental, non-for-profit, and private sectors, and a devout passion to benefit the advancement of the Hispanic community in medicine, Ms. Castro can provide invaluable guidance to accomplish MOLA’s high-level short and long term goals
