Dr. Gunar Subieta-Benito is an attending of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at John H. Stroger Hospital in Chicago and is a clinical assistant professor for Rush Medical College. He is board certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Management, Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He also participates as adjunct faculty at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY) Regional Anesthesia workshop for acute pain and for the American Society of Regional Anesthesia Chronic Pain and Musculoskeletal ultrasound course. He graduated from the University del Valle School of Medicine in Bolivia and did his graduate training at the University of Illinois and at Stroger Hospital. He currently is also a board member for the Bolivian American Medical Society. His areas of interest are geriatric pain, ultrasound guided procedures and pain pharmacology.
