Latino Cancer Research Training and Internships

The Éxito! Latino Cancer Research Leadership Training program is a free 5-day, culturally tailored training program sponsored by the Institute for Health Promotion Research (IHPR) at UT San Antonio. The goal of the program is to promote more Latinos in research, specifically cancer research. The program aligns with MOLA’s mission in that it seeks to understand cultural competencies and its impacts on cancer outcomes and promote career advancement for Latinos in research.

This is an opportunity to network with other Latino researchers, mentors, and potential colleagues, learn about Latino cancer, gain tools to apply for and succeed in a doctoral program, and learn of career opportunities in cancer research. Master’s level students or master’s graduated professionals interested in pursuing a doctoral degree or dual degree (i.e. MD/PhD) program should apply! Deadline is March 2nd. Paid internships are also available.
