The Infant Welfare Society of Chicago (IWS), a comprehensive, community-based health center in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, is seeking an Family Practice Physician, to join its Primary Care Team.
Position Responsibilities
•Manage primary, acute and chronic health problems affecting women through comprehensive history and physical examination, assessment and diagnostics in outpatient setting
•Order, perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures
•Management of full spectrum of contraception
•Prescribe pharmacologic and non –pharmacologic interventions
•Collaborate and coordinate with the primary care team to deliver evidence-based care and to establish best practices in clinical care
•Opportunity for administrative role for qualified candidate
What are the requirements to apply?
•MD or DO from accredited institution
•Active licensure in the State of Illinois as a physician
•Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice
•BLS and CPR certification is required
•Previous experience working in a community health center is preferred
•Proficiency in Spanish is preferred
