Lourdes Shanjani, MD
Dr. Lourdes Shanjani is a bilingual (English/Spanish) and bi-cultural International Medical Graduate. She received her Medical Degree at Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. She also holds a Master of Science in Health Sciences with a double concentration in Health Education and Public Health..
Dr. Shanjani has over a decade of experience working with under-served communities in both the United States and the Caribbean; providing direct services as well as designing, managing and fundraising programs that benefit immigrant communities. She currently serves as the Bilingual Health Education Coordinator at Public Health Madison and Dane County where she provides leadership for public health staff and community partners to assess, develop, implement and evaluate health education programs and services to meet community health priorities.
Dr. Shanjani is driven by a passion for improving the quality of life of people through education and prevention with a focus on behavioral health. She is an advocate of self-care and keeping a healthy work-personal life balance. She loves spending time with her husband, son and daughters.
