The Chicago Medical Organization for Latino Advancement (MOLA) is a non-profit association of Chicagoland Hispanic/Latino physicians working for career advancement, linguistic and cultural competency, personal wellness, and reduced health disparities for the good of the entire Hispanic/Latino community.

Chicago’s Latino/a physicians come together for celebration, entertainment and networking.

Attendees enjoy delicious bites and cocktails. All proceeds support MOLA’s initiatives in Education & Research and Public Health.

MOLA members (physicians, researchers, residents, medical students and other healthcare professionals) advance their knowledge to close the gap in health care disparities and research within the Latino population.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits units are offered for participants.

Addressing health disparities through educational and public health direct interventions in our communities. This comprehensive program includes a mentorship component to inspire, train, and mentor students from high school level through residency training, as well as Health Fair community screenings and education. To maximize student impact, our events take place on a weekly basis, and only select key events are included below.

MOLA’s contribution to advance and Wellness for our members. Physicians and other health care professionals lack education in finances and organizational management and are exposed to burn-out, given the current challenges of the health care system.

These events respond to the need to close the gap in financial, legal and stress management for MOLA’s members.

Public Health Activities Participation

Organizations interested in having a table at our public health events (Health fairs) for community at large have the opportunity to have a table to display and provide information on their products or services as follows:

Multimedia Platform “Líneas de Ayuda” in association with Telemundo Chicago $15,000

Organizations sponsoring the Líneas de Ayuda program receive live prime-time television exposure of their company or product (details below) in addition to assisting with a public health program in which MOLA health experts provide educational segments for the Latino community and staff phone lines to answer community questions to an 800-phone number while the segments are aired.

  • Four 60-second pre-recorded segments during prime-time
  • Fifteen 15-second promos during prime-time
  • MOLA will staff the phone lines and provide experts and content for the public health segments
  • Sponsor organization logo and name will be included throughout all recorded segments and promos

MOLA Student Scholarship

  • Organizations sponsoring a student scholarship program may designate scholarship amount provided.
  • Suggested $1,000-5,000.
  • Scholarship application process to be launched 1st quarter 2018.
